About the job
As Graphic Designer you will be part of a team responsible for the graphic design and creation of final artwork for packaging and labelling of the product range at IKEA Food, that is to say all our products in the Swedish Food Market including for example coffee, salmon, meatballs and more. Your responsibilities include producing, editing and updating printing originals for original packaging on time and with excellent quality.
About the assignment
- Design and create final artwork for packaging and labelling of the IKEA Food products.
- Ensure, in co-operation with the Laws & Standards and Quality functions, that packaging complies with legal and other demands for all markets concerned.
- Secure, in co-operation with the Laws & Standards and Quality functions, overall quality (linguistically, typographical and visually) of packaging to ensure clarity and comprehensibility.
- Perform quality checking and approval of all packaging and printed matter.
- Update, support, document and archive all final artworks.
You probably have a background in graphic design, print production and/or Desktop Publishing. If you have experience in working with packaging and especially food packaging as well as typographical language differences, this is an advantage. You are driven to meet deadlines and you know how to run a quick and effective original production. You are excelling in Illustrator, but are also able to work in InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Office. You are a team-oriented and straight forward person with strong drive. Being methodical, structured and paying attention to details characterize you and motivate you to do a good job. As English is our corporate language, the ability to express yourself in English is a prerequisite. It is also important that you understand and appreciate the IKEA culture and values and can handle both proactive initiatives and critical issues in an open and trustworthy way.
This is a temporary position with start as soon as possible and with an end in August 31st 2017, but with the possibility of continuation.
